Editing your clips is easy!

Editing your video is simple and quick. It allows you to take out unwanted parts of a performance and also to reduce the file size of your video (making it much faster to upload to the site). If you've never attempted to edit a video before don't worry, it's easy and can be fun too. We strongly recommend editing your video before posting it to the Karaoke Champ website.

If your computer is reasonably new it probably came equiped with free video editing software on it. The most popular video editing software is Movie Maker on the PC and iMovie on the Mac. All Windows PC's which run Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later have Windows Movie Maker already installed and all Apple Mac's running OS X have iMovie pre-installed. Most video cameras come with video editing software on CD's and with full instructions on how to use it.

Both iMovie and Movie Maker make it really easy to download a clip to your hard drive, open it, resize and edit out unwanted parts, add titles and then export it to your desired resolution and file format.

We have listed below some excellent tutorial sites for each program which will help you to make the most of your video clips.
